Hi1 My name is Kei Genotte!
I started photography back in middle school when I joined the Yearbook. I was handed a camera and told to take pictures of a boys basketball game. That's when I fell in love with this amazing art form.
Later in high school I was in a photography class as an elective.  I was so excited to finally learn how to really use a camera! I was putting my all into learning. My teacher, Mellissa Champion, who I give every ounce of my gratitude to, taught be everything I knew for the next 3 years. That semester came to an end and I got a camera for Christmas. I spent all of winter break playing with it, and messing with all of the settings. I had a foundation of knowledge on how to properly use a camera thanks to my photography class. I absolutely loved that camera!
After a year I, as the eccentric theatre kid I was (and still am), decided to start to take photos of the plays and musicals for us to use as promotion on our social media!
Towards the end of my Junior year I finally felt confident and proud of my work. So, of course I started to do photography in a somewhat professional setting. I haven't looked back since. My photography has improved so much since my first shoots.
Fast forward to now, I am a college student at Colorado State University studying my other passion, Wildlife Biology. I have been doing photography for 5 years and I love it more than I did when I started! Photography brings me so much joy, and hey, why not do what I love and make some money off of it! After all it helps me be able afford my housing and schooling!
Thank you for going with me through my very long rant about my history and who I am as a photographer! If you ever need anything do not hesitate to reach out to me on any of the sites that I have linked, and remember, always support your local artists!
